Drug Addiction – A Description.
Drug addiction is the obsessive dependence on a legal or illegal drug. Drugs can include prescription medications, illegal drugs, and alcohol. While an addict may use more than one drug, he usually has a drug of choice — his strongest addiction to break.

An addict can be dependent emotionally, psychologically, and/or physically, depending on the drugs used. His intense cravings drive him to resort to any means of obtaining the drug. Satisfying his cravings becomes the addicts utmost priority — even at the cost of losing all that was once important: job, home, friends, and family.

How to deal with a drug addict?

I’m watching the show "Intervention" right now, and it makes me curious a little bit, how do you think family and friends should cope with a drug addict? Should they show them tough love in hopes that they get their act together? Or should they show them that they love them, and they will stick with them, in hopes of them getting help?

I believe the show "Intervention" usually supports demonstrating "tough love" and not empowering the addict in their sickness. Conducting an intervention IS a form of tough love.

That doesn’t mean that we throw them under the bus and say "good riddance, you’re outta here!"

That means that we make choices that will be conducive towards helping them become whole…

Thanks for your question…

Clever Sayings that you can say to a Drug addict that are Mean?

How to look like a drug addict for the school play?

Our high school is having a drama play to represent drugs and drinking. My part is the meth addict or whatever drug it may be. I don’t really know how to make my face look or even hair. Any ideas?

Hair – do not use and conditioner so your hair will look dry and brittle.

Use makeup to create darkness under eyes and use a foundation that makes you look very pale.

If you can buy fake teeth, do that and make them look horribly stained and broken/rotted out.

You can be creative with makeup and make your skin look pock-marked.
