What happens if you get a second dui in Connecticut with additional compounding charges as well?
My friend received their Second DUI which happened within the same year, The person fled the scene, was not insured or legally registered and didn’t cooperate with the police. Can this person avoid jail in any way? Can this person also plea the charge of DUI down to a lesser charge to avoid the mandatory minimum of 120 days in Jail?
Maybe with a good lawyer, but I certainly hope they put his stupid ass in jail for at least 120 days.
We have way too much tolerance for something completely avoidable. Driving after drinking is avoidable – it should never happen!
