ASAP Films – Ritalin: The Drug
A funny commercial for the drug Ritalin. It starts out very serious and somber, showing how Ritalin can help. The second part is very funny and a great way to end it. To see this and other films by ASAP Films go to www.asapfilms.com

Is Marijuana Addictive?
Is marijuana a mental or physical addiction?
cfxboxmoh wrote: I have ADHD, and anxiety. Marijuana has completely gotten rid of both. I have had 2 anxiety attacks in my life when I was much younger. I have taken Ritalin as well, and I couldn’t sleep or eat. Ever since I have been smoking marijuana I can concentrate, eat, and sleep better. Stick to the natural side of life, not unnatural government made drugs.
mamaloney opines: “At some doses, marijuana affects perception and psychomotor performance — changes which could impair driving ability. However, in driving studies, marijuana produces little or no car-handling impairment — consistently less than produced by low to moderate doses of alcohol and many legal medications. In contrast to alcohol, which tends to increase risky driving practices, marijuana tends to make subjects more cautious…I have used marijuana, you can’t get addicted to it. Marijuana is way less dangerous than tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine. There has never been 1 death caused my marijuana.”
CNSagent wrote: Cannabis is potentially mildly psychologically addictive for individuals with hereditary predispositions to addiction, and for individuals who frequently ingest copious amounts without a medicinal need (1). However, cannabis is the only illicit drug which has the potential to actually promote the growth of new neurons (i.e. brain cells) opposed to destroying them (2), and it also is the only illicit drug with anti-cancer properties (3). …
MrMrStratocaster: “Distorted perception, loss of motor skills, increased heart rate, decreased muscular strength, and anxiety are all mainly experienced WHILE high-they are not long term effects, so not necessarily ‘bad.’ If the pleasures of being high outweigh the temporary incapacitation experienced after smoking, are they really relevant? Also, I recognize that some HEAVY users may experience more severe memory loss while sober—but that does not occur in light (responsible) users.
Will9469 wrote: Trouble with thinking and problem solving? well I have been smoking weed on and off for about a year now and have noticed that this has been my best academic year, and seeing as I am doing an engineering course I think it is essential that I smoke marijuana occasionally and in moderation. Also the memory loss is just during the short euphoric ‘high’ that you get from smoking marijuana and saying increase heart rate is pretty pathetic tbh. Exercise also gives an increase in heart rate
From prokopton: Drugs affect people in different ways due to individual biochemistry. I smoked pot for about 3 years and those three years were a waste. I would not do it again. I know people who do regularly smoke weed and function fine, while others are zombies or retarded. Each to their own.
ggalen opines: THC is addictive. This fact is overlooked by every stoner. The denial itself in the face of factual evidence is part of the addiction…Most studies suggest that Marijuana is a mental addiction, not a physical addiction.
Jenn1fer wrote: “The effects of marijuana use include: memory loss, distorted perception, trouble with thinking and problem solving, loss of motor skills, decrease in muscle strength, increased heart rate, and anxiety , National Institute of Drug Abuse, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Pharmacology Review.”
