What do you think about these upcoming movies?
I am a film geek, and these three movies caught my eye
War Ties
a dramedy about a young man who goes off to Iraq to avoid his dysfunctional family after an outburst which resulted with him shoving his alcoholic father off deck 20 feet in the air, he gets his hand blown off, and when he returns he finds out his father has been diagnosed with cancer, his 17 year old sister is pregnant and his brother has come out as gay and he was only gone for 2 months.
It is directed by Cameron Crowe and it stars Shia Labeouf, Peter Sarsgaad, Charlize Thereon, Kristen Stewart and Orlando Bloom
Rebels With Guns (based off the Columbine events)
The tragic events that took place prior and during the haunting shootouts, its called Rebels with guns because, Rebels was the Columbine mascot, it is being distrbuted by 20th Century Fox, thats the only setback, i hate the movies they put out, but this one looks good
starring William Hurt, Patrick Fugit and Emile Hirsch
it is being directed by Gus Van Sant
and the last one i am dying to see is
The Green River Killer
based on the grisly muders that took place during a 20 year span.
directed by Sam Mendes
and is stars Olga Kurylenko, Jude Law, Tom Hanks (they re-unite since their last work with Medes, which was Road To Perdition) Jaime Bell and Jeremy Sumpter
I really don’t think any of them sound too interesting but then again I like action movies that have nothing to do with real life like die hard. The last two just seem like they want to profit off of the victims family’s pain like all the 9/11 movies. like if its about historic drama or pain it will make more money.
