Multiple Sclerosis & Marijuana, A match made in heaven

I am finally getting the courage to do this video.
I think marijuana should be used in every state of every country to combat the painful symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
It is our basic human right to live our lives to the fullest with a minimal amount of pain.
The MS drugs that are used for pain, spasticity, and neuritis have horrible side effects.
Cannabis has virtually no bad side effects.
This video could very well bring me under scrutiny because I live in a very conservative state with very harsh drug laws.
This needs to change.

Compared to the depression that interferons cause….
    many will take their chances.
I know that MJ can zap you of motivation when abused and long term abuse can lead to depression
    BUT
when your legs feel like they are on fire
or they are electrified and being jabbed with needles?
Anything that gives relief would be a godsend.
I th ink people will use their minds and wisdom to pick their poison so to speak.
Thank you (sincerely) for your thoughts and wanting to help others.

    just a word of …
just a word of caution…..depression and mental illness are often part of MS for quite a large number of people. Marijuana can worsen the dreadful symptoms of depression into something a lot more difficult to deal with. Often eclipsing the MS symptoms themselves.
I’m not judging anyone who takes marijuana but it certainly isn’t harmless and without side effects.
There has to be an awareness that marijuana has a consequence and isn’t risk free. It would be irresponsible to claim otherwise.

i also have another suggestion..i’m not sure it’d be for u, because i’m not aware of how much you’re willing to risk losing your job, but in healthfood stores they sell a variety of Detox drinks and pills..from my experience, and from what others have told me, it is very effective when the instructions are followed properly..if your MS becomes unbearable, and u become desperate, maybe detox could be an option for u..well, best wishes.

i’m ryan..it’s unfortunate to hear that u cannot use marijuana for your MS because of your job..if one day u do get a medicinal marijuana card, and are able to use it, u should research different strains. i heard u mention that it makes u paraniod..there are certain types that supposedly are paranoia free..i’m fairly certain they are mostly indica strains..

I admire you sooo much for coming forward! My mother has progressive MS and has a hard time time dealing with the”stigma” attached to smoking pot. Yet, when she does smoke on occasion, her pain subsides and she can actually sleep. I feel that a marijuana is so much better than tons of pills that contain who knows what. We live in a state that medicinal marijuana is still a black sheep. Thank you for your honesty and I hope all is well for you and the battle against MS. Thank you again

They have a product called Sativex which is supposed to be pretty close to MJ.
There is a tablet called Marinol but it is not the same thing. (They give it to people with appetite issues from illness or aging)
Many people prefer to take MJ by cooking it in butter and then adding it to cakes and cookies,.
The occasions that I have used it I have received the best relief from the pain I feel in my feet EVER!!!

    Great question! The …
    Great question! The answer is…..
    NO and YES.
Although cannabis is not considered PHYSIOLOGICALLY addictive, some develop a PSYCHOLOGICAL dependence to it. It is not like opiates or narcotics which cause YOUR BODY to become dependent on it (delirium tremens from withdrawal). SOme MJ users develop the tendency to want to be “high” all the time and this mimics addiction but it is not a true addiction like to nicotine or coffee.
If you need something and take it daily it is called MEDICINE:)

I never really enjoyed MJ. I am a lightweight it doesn’t take much.
It is not legal so I refrain from using it.
Best pain relief I have ever had from sensory pain related to MS tho.

    My hands and feet …
My hands and feet feel as if they are in hot gritty sand 24 hours a day! I have awful head aches, pain in my legs and hands, and back. I have often thought of asking my Dr for it, as it is legal here ,but I’m afraid of it. Had a scary episode as a teenager the one and only time I ever tried it! What is the “normal”effect of the drug? What will it do to me? Just wondering..

    Marijuana is the …
Marijuana is the healing of the nations..heal all. I’m sure you heard about Rick Simpson(hemp oil). I know quite a few people with MS and Lymphoma that only use MJ because it is the only thing that helps. Synthetic drugs kill…slowly but surely.

    Against your …
    Against your religious beliefs?
I am just curious about that statement.
Even if I did not have MS and I smoked MJ (which I do not as a rule) I would have ZERO guilt about it. The only scripture I can think of is regarding overindulgence in alcohol. The bible says nothing about DRINKING but FORBIDS being a drunkard.
My interpretation is so long as you do not let any substance become all consuming or hold it in higher regard than your family, friends or God…..

    Nice Video. Im a …
Nice Video. Im a 30 year old male with MS. My symptoms aren’t so bad that I can’t get by yet so I don’t use marijuana. I exercise a lot and that is probably the best help for me. I think if it ever gets real bad I would probably consider marijuana. I have never even tried marijuana recreationally, and its against my religous beliefs if it isn’t prescribed. So…… Thanks for your view point!
