can i wear colored contacts over my prescribed contacts?

i saw a pair of colored contacts at this one store and i really want to get a pair but i already wear contacts and i really dont want to go to my eye doctor and get a prescribed pair of colored contacts and pay extra so i was just wondering if it was possible to wear my prescribed contacts and put the colored contacts over them? haha sounds silly and it probably doesnt work but i was just wondering

No unfortunately not. As someone else correctly stated, this would starve the cornea of valuable oxygen and cause problems for your eyes.

You can get coloured prescription lenses, have you thought about talking to your eye dr about that option?

Hope this helps

That’s a very bad idea. That will not permit enough oxygen to reach your corneas. Bad, bad idea. Don’t do it.

No. You can use your current prescription, and order new prescription colored contacts.
