What Would’ve Happened If Someone Tried To Over Dose With Rubbing Alcohol?

OK, so i recently found out that my friend attempted suicide by trying to over dose with some prescribed pills and chugging it down with rubbing alcohol. Everything is okay now, she got help and stuff, but it got me curious what the hell would have happened? how would she die like that? wouldn’t she just cause permanent damage to her intestines er something?
Alcohol is poisonous to your body. She would’ve got alcohol poisoning and died. That alcohol would get into her blood and her liver wouldn’t be able to change the alcohol to a safer form fast enough if she drank such a concentration of alcohol (I think it’s like 98-99% for rubbing alcohol). Her blood alcohol level would increase and her body wouldn’t be able to handle such a drastic change and she would die.
Think of it this way, your body is constantly working to maintain a state of balance. When you put too many things into your body that affect that balance and your body cannot compensate for that change, you die. As simple as that. So whether it’s drugs or alcohol, if you take too much of it, your body cannot keep that homeostasis and everything stops working.

They would get violently ill, become severely dehydrated (because of all the vomiting and pooping) and likely go blind, but not necessarily die until they did it a second or third time (though they might).
Since you friend is "okay now", presumably she vomited everything up. That must have been lovely.

rubbing alcohol is like drinking straight ethanol aka VERY bad for you. She could probably killed herself just by drinking that stuff by its self. Most pills mixed with alcohol are lethal, but ethanol is like straight, unrefined alcohol that is put in cars, very easily lethal.
