Im starting Suboxone tomorrow for Methadone withdrawal need help?

I took about 100mg friday pm and will it be ok to start Suboxone Monday pm? The therapist knows about other things i took during the week to help with the sickness.
you need to be in at least moderate withdrawal or suboxone will cause precipitated withdrawals, which are really bad.
Also, if you are trying to switch from a daily dose of 100 mg’s of methadone to suboxone you are in for a REALLY rough time. Most people making the switch get down to 30 mg’s or less of methadone before making the switch and it is still not easy.

The opioid antagonist in Suboxone will only affect withdrawal if you were to try to inject the Suboxone, not when taken orally. So it shouldn’t precipitate symptoms of withdrawal when taken with methadone.
Just as a precaution I would contact your therapist and make sure he knows you took the methadone on Friday night, and make sure he wants you to start the Suboxone tomorrow.
