The 300 star admitted himself to the Betty Ford Center three weeks ago for a reported addiction to pain killers.

THE 300 STAR CHECKED HIMSELF IN TO THE BETTY FORD CLINIC 3 WEEKS AGO FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE ISSUES…
JUST LAST MONTH, HE TOLD THE MAGAZINE, “THE RED BULLETIN” HOW HE USED TO DRINK UNTIL HE BLACKED OUT.
HE SAID, “I used to drink until I couldn’t remember anything. I was just mad for it and on a death wish. It was madness.” One or two drinks was never enough for me.”
WHILE BUTLER’S BEEN PRETTY OPEN ABOUT HIS BATTLE WITH THE BOTTLE, WE’RE JUST NOW LEARNING ABOUT HIS ADDICTION TO PRESCRIPTION PILLS.
HE SUFFERED SEVERAL INJURIES DURING THE FILMING OF “300″ BACK IN 2006, WHICH IS REPORTEDLY WHAT TRIGGERED AN ADDICTION TO PAIN MEDS, ACCORDING TO TMZ.
THEN IN DECEMBER, THE SCOTTISH ACTOR WAS HOSPITALIZED AFTER A SURFING ACCIDENT, WHILE SHOOTING HIS UPCOMING MOVIE, “OF MEN AND MAVERICKS.” AND THAT ONLY MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE.
SOURCES TELL THE WEBSITE, “BUTLER REALIZED HE WAS RELYING TOO MUCH ON PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND DECIDED TO HEAD OFF A FULL-BLOWN ADDICTION BY ENTERING BETTY FORD THREE WEEKS AGO.” HE’LL REPORTEDLY LEAVE THE FACILITY FRIDAY.
